Ronald Eugene Queen was born May 9, 1938 in De Soto, MO. He was the son of Francis Earl and Geneva (nee Lewis) Queen. He died on May 19, 2021 at his Festus home at the age of 83. He is survived by his children, Kirsten (Larry) Miller, Festus, Candi (Dr. Tom, D.D.S.) LaMartina, Farmington, and Ronald E. “Buzz” (Jeanetta) Queen, II, Festus, MO; grandchildren, Ronald E. “Buddy” (Abby Cook) Queen, III; Nicholas Ray (Nicole) Queen, Meagan Rose Holloran, Ethan Wayne Gosling, Benjamin August Miller, Olivia Ann LaMartina, Samuel Thomas LaMartina, and Marissa Gale LaMartina; siblings, Yvonne (Rick) Williams, Wentzville, MO; Kenneth (the late June) Queen, Grand Blanc, MI; Russ (Rita) Queen, Wentzville, MO; sisters-in-law, Joyce Queen, De Soto, MO and Pat Queen, Edwardsville, IL. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rebecca “Becky” Jean (nee Wall) Queen; two brothers, Daniel “Jack” Queen and Fred Queen. After serving in the United States Navy Ron begin his long career in the grocery business as a butcher and worked his way to owning grocery stores, he also operated his real estate company which included Jefferson Square in De Soto. With his wife Becky they also owned and operated The Bistro at Jefferson Square. He was was a member of Our Lady Catholic Church, Festus, MO. He also enjoyed collecting coins and stamps; working outdoors, watching old western movies, and going to the casino.
