Clifford L. Dierks was born March 21, 1935 in St. Louis, MO. He was the son of Frank Raymond and Sarah (Magwitz) Dierks. He went home to be the Lord on March 21, 2021 at The Woodlands, Arnold, MO. He is survived by his children, Mike (Terri) Dierks, Hillsboro, MO; Mark Dierks, De Soto, MO; Patricia (Ron) Drake, Potosi, MO; and Helen (Glen) Owen, Springfield, MO; daughter-in-law, Shelly Dierks, St. Clair, MO; siblings, Mildred (Albert) Matika, Perryville, MO; Janet Ramsey, Rosebud, MO; thirteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Doris (nee Christian) Dierks; one son, Martin Dierks; sister, Eunice Rohlfing; and two brothers, Raymond Dierks and Vernon Hilderbrand. He was making new friends at Woodlands. The name Woodlands was a great reference to Cliff. The outdoors was one of his favorite places to be. He enjoyed hunting for turkey and deer. He loved taking quiet walks in the woods to find the biggest mushrooms possible. Cliff loved playing bingo! He would take bus trips and he sure enjoyed being with friends. Cliff never met a stranger. He always kept himself challenged by working on engines and being creative. In his yard he would put out a very large garden and loved eating the fresh vegetables. He was an amazing man! Cliff was a very caring person. He was always there for others. If someone was going through a rough time Cliff would give the shirt off his back to help them out. He was always head strong and determined in life, that’s what kept him going through the tough times and cheerful times. Last but not least was Cliff’s family. He loved Doris so much. They were married 56 years before she went to be with the Lord. Cliff’s face would light up when he would talk about his kids and grandkids. With the onset of dementia in due time it increased. That was not the only thing that increased. He would tell the nurses that he had 145 grandchildren. Bless his heart. We love Cliff with all our hearts and will miss him each and everyday.
