Born Jason Paul Lewis on November 5, 1980 in New London, CT he was adopted by Lewis A. Gill as a young man and Jason took the Gill name after his mother Fay Crystal Lewis died. Jason is also preceded in death by his grandfather Harry M. Lewis, Sr., two aunts Sherry Lewis and Dorothy Powers; two uncles Mark Lewis and Clayton Lewis; and a step-daughter Natalee Rawe. Jason is survived by his father Lewis Gill, Boss, MO, one son Trenton Gill, Potosi, MO one brother Brian Lewis, Uncasville, CT and his sons Dustin and Austin, maternal grandmother Fay Ethel Lewis, fiance Tanya Brewer of De Soto and her daughters Samantha and Jessica, uncle Bob Powers, De Soto, and several cousins, friends, and extended family. “Jason was an over the road truck driver who enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. He caught everything from the smallest minnow to use as bait to salmon in the Shetucket river, big striped bass on Long Island Sound and catfish in the Mississippi River as well as every species in between. Jason had an excellent mechanical aptitude, always finding a way to fix anything. He was my brother and my best friend.
