David Glenn Frankenbach was born in Crystal City on October 4, 1957 a son to Glenn E. and Norma E. (nee Mertz) Frankenbach. He died at his De Soto home on December 5, 2015 at the age of 58. He is survived by his mother: Norma Frankenbach Merritt, De Soto; one daughter Katie Frankenbach, Los Angles, CA and her mother Glenda Frankenbach, Lake Ozark; three sisters: Cheryl (Vern) Phipps, Clearfield, UT, Dawn Frankenbach, De Soto, and Wendy (Adam) Kuhn, St. Louis; one niece: McKenna Phipps; two nephews: Caleb and Joshua Kuhn; a dear friend: Tina and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his father and step father Joseph Merritt. He is a 1975 graduate of De Soto High School. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and a Masters Degree in Nuclear Engineering from University of Missouri-Rolla (now Missouri S & T). He worked as a computer engineer and software developer most recently for Charles Schwab Co. in Austin TX. He is a published author writing many technical manuals and also had his own software development firm D. F. Software. A self proclaimed computer geek he also enjoyed hiking, especially in Glacier National Park, traveling, ( a recent trip to Hawaii was the 50th state he had visited), and photography.He was a member of Beta Sigma Psi Fraternity. |
