Raymond Brooks

Raymond W. Brooks was born March 7, 1921 in De Soto, MO.  He died April 18, 2009 at St. Anthony’s Medical Center at the age of 88.   He is survived by his wife Verla (nee Mitchell) Brooks; one son Terry (Ronna) Brooks ; grandchildren Lorie (Adam Reisz) Long, Mandy (Wes) Gregory, Shawn Brooks, Aimee (Will) Monrotus and Arah (Ron Jacoby) Brooks; great grandchildren Adam, Luke, Olivia, Morgan, Riley, Jakob, and Eden; and a son in law Richard Bartz.  He is preceded in death by  his parents Andrew Brooks and Virginia (nee Brucker)Brooks Voisey; a daughter Dixie Long and a sister Evelyn King.  Mr. Brooks retired as a clerk from the De Soto Post Office and was a charter member of AmVets Post #48.
