David Copeland

March 22, 1928 - September 9, 2012

David Joseph Copeland was born on March 22, 1928 in De Soto, MO.  He was the son of the late Otis Oscar & Elenora (Drennen) Copeland.  He died on September 9, 2012 in Fredericktown, MO at the age of 84.  

Mr. Copeland is survived by his wife Wanda (Williams) Copeland of Fredericktown, MO; children, Jeanne (Steve) Wallace of Fredericktown, MO; Karl Copeland of Fredericktown, MO; Kim (Debbie) Copeland of Little Rock, AR; Martha (Barry) Moulder of Baton Rouge, LA; and Scott (Carol) Copeland of Baton Rouge, LA; and son-in-law Gary Doyen of De Soto, MO; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Dava Lee Doyen; siblings, Nina Bailey, Oscar Copeland, Lloyd Copeland, James Copeland, Orville Copeland, and Grace Manwarring.

Mr. Copeland served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.  Mr. & Mrs. Copeland were married on June 21, 1947.  He was a retired General Car Foreman for the Union Pacific Railroad; member of the 2nd Baptist Church, Fredericktown, MO;he was also an artist and musician.  

The funeral service will be officiated by Pastor Jason King.  Interment will be at Luckey Cemetery in De Soto, MO.
