Terry Elaine McClanahan was born in Valles Mines on November 8, 1949. She died at her Pevely home on August 22, 2026 at the age of 76. Terry was devoted to her friends and family and in her spare time she was an avid bowler and enjoyed playing bingo with her friends. She is survived by her children: LeRoy (Elsa) McClanahan, Jr., Hillsboro, Michael (Carmen) Beck, Pevely, Timothy (Amiee) Beck, Festus and Matthew (Jessica) McClanahan, Fenton; her grandchildren: Alyssa, Kayli, Joelle, Carmen, Raelyn, Michael, Eliana, Blake, William, Jessica, Nathan, Julia, Gwendalyn, and Elanor; her sisters: Carol Shepherd, Hillsboro, Debrah Cates, Hillsboro, Patricia LaPlant, Hillsboro, Kimberly Shrewsbury, McLouth, KS and Tina Shaw, Zion, IL her brothers: Charles Cantrell, Florissant and Daniel Duncan, Barnhart and several nieces and nephews. Terry is also survived by her long time companion John McKlin and his son Mark (Athena) McKlin. She is preceded in death by John’s son Nicholas. She is also preceded in death by her parents: Charles Cantrell and Thelma (nee Kite) Cantrell Britt; her husband LeRoy Joseph McClanahan, Sr.; two sisters: Bertha Keener and Connie Allen and one brother Ronald Duncan. Terry had owned and operated T.E.M. Resale Shop in De Soto, she also had worked at the Save-A-Lot Grocery Store in De Soto and the I-55 Raceway. | |
