Betty Lee Miller Harrison

Betty Lee Harrison (nee Miller), 90, of DeSoto, Mo. passed away on July 9, 2026 at Mercy Hospital in Festus, MO.

Betty was born on November 3, 1935 in Grubville, MO. The daughter of the late Clyde K. and Mary J. (nee Johnson) Miller.

She is preceded in death by her husband Robert “Bob” Harrison in 1998. They were married at Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in DeSoto on June 16, 1956. Their union was blessed with two daughters.

She is survived by her daughter, Terry Lee (Bill) Smith of Fletcher, MO.

Three grandchildren, Randy Lynn (Bel) Harrison of Valley Park, MO, Catherine Lee (Adam) Decker of Dittmer, MO and William Robert (Bailey) Smith of Potosi, MO and 5 great grandchildren, Ryann L. Decker, William R. Smith, Benjamin J. Decker, Andrew Harrison, and Edward A. Decker.

One sister, Dolores (Herbert) Copeland of Herculaneum, MO & one brother, Marshall (Dina) Miller of DeSoto, MO; two sisters-in-law, Norma Miller and Faye Miller and several nieces & nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, Toni Lynn Harrison and by her siblings, Clyde E. (Delores) Miller, Edwin (Dorothy) Miller, Elbert Miller, Velva Jean (Herman) Dick, Donald Miller, Mary Lou Couch, Margaret (Joe) Couch, Janet (Kenneth) Thomas, and Mildred Horton.

Betty was a retired cook with the Northwest School District. After retirement Betty dedicated herself to her family and Church. Betty was a faithful member of Landmark Missionary Baptist Church in DeSoto since 1975. She was the Kitchen Coordinator for the church for many years. She also taught Sunday School and assisted with Vacation Bible Schools. In her later years & until her death she served the church by being in charge of the Prayer Chain Calls & being the Sunday School Secretary. Betty truly loved the Lord and her Church.
