Rosemary C. Pope

Rosemary C. “Roz” Pope, 81, of De Soto, Missouri, passed away peacefully at her home on June 10, 2026.

Roz was born on January 11, 1945, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of John and Leona (Schroeder) Mullen.

On October 8, 1966, she married the love of her life, William J. “Bill” Pope, in St. Louis, Missouri. Together they shared many wonderful years of marriage and were blessed with three children.

She is survived by her children, Erik (Angela) Pope of Bonne Terre, Missouri, Andrea (Terri Cordia) Pope of St. Louis, Missouri, and Timothy (Chandy Watkins) Pope of Hillsboro, Missouri; two grandchildren, Jessica (Justin) Hampton and Riley (Sierra) Buttars; one great-grandchild, Bodie Buttars; her devoted “Angel on Earth,” Sharon Thebeau; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends who loved her dearly.

Roz dedicated her career to caring for others as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the De Soto School District. Through her compassion and kindness, she touched the lives of countless students and families throughout the community.

Anyone who knew Roz knew she was a joy to be around. She had a vibrant spirit, loved spending time with family and friends, and enjoyed traveling and making memories wherever life took her.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Bill; and her sister, Karen Cottrell.
