John W. Pratt, II

John Wayne Pratt, II was born in Potosi on February 3, 1969 a son to John Wayne and Ethel (nee Wideman) Pratt. He died at Mercy South Hospital in St. Louis County on May 13, 2026 at the age of 57. He is survived by his mother who lives in De Soto; two sisters: Cheryl (Kevin) Staley Columbus, IN and Diane (Matt) Bequette, Farmington; one niece Mackenzie (Kevin) Nappier; three nephews: Matthew (Theresa) Dickemann, Brandon (Amanda) Sloss and Christopher (Amanda) Pratt as well a great nieces and nephews: Charlie Mae, Theodore, Kylie, Conner, Ethan, Caden, Jolene and Adeline. He is preceded in death by his father and a niece Mary Dickemann. John will also be missed by his Pit/Boxer mix companion Parker. John was a maintenance worker for the Canyon Creek Apartments in South County. He was very talented when it came to fixing things and enjoyed working on complex puzzles. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
