James M. Pope

James Melbern Pope was born March 23, 1937 in St. Louis, MO. He was the son of Frank and Elsie (nee Frazier)  Dressing. He died on September 28, 2025 at Southbrook Nursing Center, Farmington, MO at the age of 88 years. He is survived by his daughters, Tamala Reising, Wilmington, DE and Jill Albrecht, Upper Marlboro, MD; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; his fiancé, Beverly Poncet-Bryant; half-sister, Carol Ann Lewandowski, Kirkwood, MO; and a half-brother, Gary Dressing, Tom’s River, NJ. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Shirley Jean (nee Pyatt) Pope, one daughter, Kim Pendleton; a granddaughter, Sarah, and a half-sister, Kathryn Elizabeth Deutschmann. James worked for Hussman Refrigeration. As an expression of  sympathy memorials may be made to any Animal Shelter of your choice.
