Steven Charles Sloan was born September 19, 1948 in De Soto, MO. He was the son of Samuel and Mildred (nee Oker) Sloan. He died on July 9, 2025 in De Soto, MO at the age of 76 years. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn (nee Thebeau) Sloan, De Soto, MO; two children, Chad (Karen Mooney) Sloan, Bonne Terre, MO and Jamie (Dwayne) Smith, De Soto, MO; grandchildren, Zachary Sloan; Logan (Lyssa) Yancey and Nathaniel Sloan; great-grandchild, Link Yancey; two brothers, David (Rachell) Sloan, South County, MO and Mark Sloan, De Soto, MO. He is preceded in death by his parents. Steve was owner of Sloan Body Shop in De Soto, MO and he served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam having earned a Purple Heart and Bronze Star.
