Bettie Jean (Anderson) Salisbury Hooper

Betty Jean Salisbury Hooper, of Bonne Terre, previously Terre du Lac, died August 19, 2023 at Southbrook Nursing Home in Farmington, MO.

She will be fondly remembered as the “Dog Lady” of K9 Corner.  She is survived by her husband, Ruel Dean Hooper of Bonne Terre, her daughter, Susan Pijut (Tony) of Arnold, MO.  Four grandchildren, Erin Salisbury of St. Louis, Savannah Province, Ryan and Tyler Jones of Columbia MO; and one great grandchild, Noah Province of Columbia, MO. two step daughters, Deana Hooper of Delaware, Ohio and Christine Brandon of Frinia, Illinois.

There will be a private burial ceremony at Desoto City Cemetery.

Any donations to honor Jean can be made to the Humane Society or the ASPCA.
