Jared Christopher Young was born in Crystal City on March 5, 2003 a son to Christopher W. and Wendy S. (nee Gardiner) Young. He died at Mercy Hospital-St. Louis on May 26, 2023 at the age of 20. He is survived by his parents who live in Hillsboro, one brother Jacob “Jake” Young, Hillsboro, his daughter Mallory Baker; grandparents: Sandy and Gary Lindsey, Hillsboro, Mike and Rhonda Gardiner, Festus and Donald and Dorothy Young, Hillsboro; a great grandfather Gene Hon, Puxico and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Jared worked at the U. S. Silica Sand Plant and was a member of Laborer’s Local #110.
