Jimmie Sue Hammond Meyer

Jimmie Sue Meyer was born on April16, 1952 in De Soto, MO. She was the daughter of William “Bill” and Alta M. (nee Eaton) Hammond. She died on March 27, 2023 at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County at the age of 70.

She is survived by her children, Andrew (Carrie) Meyer of Festus, MO and Katie (James) Klein of Makawao, HI; siblings, Alta Jayne Hammond of Festus, MO; Pete (Elsie) Hammond of De Soto; sister-in-law, Jane Hammond of De Soto, MO; and grandchildren, Malachi, Nicholas, Joshua, Jay and Jace.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-mother, Mary “Khak” Hammond and her children, Victoria “Vicki” (Chuck, survives) Martin and Colby Scott, her brother, Bill Hammond; and sister, Kitty Lou Nichols.

Jimmie Sue was a teacher for the Hillsboro R-III School District.
