Robert E. Schlake

Robert E. Schlake was born in East St. Louis, IL on October 20, 1933 a son to Elmer and Marie (Donze)) Schlake. He died on November 26, 2017 in De Soto at the age of 84. He is survived by his children: Sharon (Don) Gillam, De Soto, Deborah Merseal, Herculaneum, and John Schlake, Festus; three grandchildren: Lisa (Zach) Peters, Imperial, Holly (James) Elterman, Byrnes Mill, and Jennifer Gillam, De Soto; nine great-grandchildren: Lorelai Peters, Kanen Peters, Mason Crook, Markcus Felton, Gavin Horton, Gracie Elterman, Alex Elterman, Max Elterman, and Andrew Elterman; and three sisters: Jackie Brennan, Belleville, IL, Virginia Eller, Crossville,TN and Kathryn Geiger, Port St. Lucie, FL. He is preceded in death by his wife Anna Oneta (Gillam) Schlake; one grandson: Clint Felton; one brother William Schlake; and one sister, Mary Darlene Barker. As an expression of sympathy memorial donation may be made to Shriner’s Hospital for Children.
