Dakota Whitener

Dakota “Kota Bug” Whitener was born in Crystal City, MO on April 20, 2005. He died in Reynolds County, MO on May 25, 2017 at the age of 12. He is survived by his mother: Annette Marie Weckherline, Cadet; his father: Thomas “Dale” (Destayne) Whitener, Bloomsdale; grandparents: Bonnie (Randy) Baker, Cadet, Larry (Toni) Weckherlin, Sr. Troy, and Cheryl (Dan) Kloepper, Festus; three sisters: Lillyanne Weckherlin, Alyssa Whitener, Kyndall Whitener; two brothers: Billie Whitener and Bryce Whitener; a step-sister Hannah Keyser; three aunts: Jessica (Billy) Barnes, Courtney Baker Washington, and Heather (Ray) Beerman; and three uncles: Chad (Jennifer) Lloyd, Sr. Larry (Maricelda) Weckherlin, Jr., and Danny (Tamra) Kloepper II. He is preceded in death by an aunt: Carrie Baker.
“Kota Bug” had just completed the sixth grade at Kingston School . He enjoyed playing baseball and basketball and was a member of his school choir.
