Walter Schlett was born July 27, 1926 in De Soto, MO. He was the son of Frank and Olive (nee Hearst) Schlett. He died on June 3, 2022 at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, MO at the age of 95 years. He is survived by his children, Paul (Carrol) Schlett, Bloomsdale, MO; Barbara (Warren) Robinson, Mission, KS; and Ron (Veronica) Schlett, Ware, MO; one sister, Wilma (the late Jim) Stroup, St. Louis County; grandchildren, Aaron (Kim) Schlett and Garrett (Stephanie) Schlett; two great-grandchildren, Caitylyn, Ava, Cole, Astyn, and Fynn; and two great-great grandchildren, Paisley Breck and Alayna Breck. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Pauline (nee Long) Schlett; four sisters, Sister Anna Schlett S.J., Myrtle (the late Donald) Bequette, Margaret (the late Francis) Buehn, and Gladys (Gordon survives) Redfield and one brother, Alfred (the late Kathleen) Schlett. Walter was retired from the De Soto Post Office and loved cattle farming. He was a veteran of the United States Army during World War II.
