Walter David Chapman, Sr. was born April 19, 1930 in De Soto, MO. He was the son of Richard Sr. and Minnie Pearl (nee Robinson) Chapman. He died on May 20, 2013 at his residence in Festus, MO at the age of 83 years. He is survived by his wife, Marion T. (nee Bequette) Chapman, Festus, MO; children, Walter Chapman, Jr., Festus, MO; Sheena (Roger) Tarver, Leanders, TX; and Sue Baldwin, Festus, MO; grandchildren, David Chapman, Walter Chapman, III; Mason Chapman, Michael Chapman, Bobby Johnson, Joe Tarver, Hope Kleine, Dawn Johnson, Teresa Barnett, Kelly Tarver, Traci Mosley, and Emily Tarver; 14 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; and his dog Sunny. He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, James, Richard, Charles and David Chapman; Cornelia Mae Droney, Lucille Crawford, Bernice Van Coutren, Florence Hedrick, and Alberta Olson; and son-in-law, Ron Baldwin. Walt served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church, De Soto, MO and also belonged to Bricklayers Local #1.
