Virginia K. Cook was born May 28, 1926, 1 of sixteen children to Clarence Roy and Alkee Bower.
She died June 10 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center at the age of 85. She is survived by her children: Sandra Medlock, W. Darrel Cook, Virginia Tanner, Victoria Greenwell and Freddie Cook; 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Cook, a son Alvin Cook, and a grandchild. Rev. Randy Gray will officiate the service with burial to follow at the Woodlawn Cemetery.
