Evelyn was very special in so many ways for so many reasons. I knew her from the time I was a teenager. We attended the same church and she worked at Olson's Hatchery which my father & brothers owned. She loved playing games with my mother and we had so many chuckles and sharings during her "coffee break". I still use her special way of making coconut cream pie by putting extra coconut on the crust before putting the filling in. Going "home" for a visit won't be the same anymore. She was so encouraging and caring. She sent cards and little notes for many years and always expressed love for our family. What a blessing and inspiration she has been in my life. Evelyn called my mother "Mom" and they had a special relationship as well. I was not aware of her "going home" until Feb. 21. I am so sorry.
