Vernelda Katherine “Nellie” McMullin was born on March 5, 1924 in Lemay a daughter to William John and Frieda (nee Roth) Diefenbach. She died at St. Joe Manor in Bonne Terre on October 31, 2020 at the age of 96. She is survived by several nieces and nephews including Shirley (Larry) Ziegler, St. Louis, Martha (Stan Koeller), Jackson, Mike (Linda) McMullin, De Soto, and Carolyn (Leo) Hancock, De Soto. She is preceded in death by her husband Delmar “Mac” McMullin and two bothers: Walter (Minnie) Diefenbach and Gilbert (Bernice) Diefenbach. Nellie was a homemaker and a very active member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1620 Boyd Street, De Soto, MO 63020.
