Velma Jean Carlin was born July 6, 1938 in Prescott, Arkansas. She was the daughter of the late Silas Paul Davis and Gladys Gerene (nee Dickerson) Davis of De Soto, MO. She died on April 3, 2015 at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus, MO at the age of 76 years. She is survived by her Mother; one daughter, Carla Carlin, St. Louis, MO; one son, Tony (Christine) Carlin, St. Louis, MO; two brothers, Roger Dale (Margaret) Davis, Ware, MO; and Donald Ray Davis, Potosi, MO; grandchildren, Derrick, Cody, Brent, and Beth; and one great-grandchild, Lacey Carlin. She is preceded in death by her father;four brothers, John Wayne Davis, William Charles Davis, Paul Davis, and James Davis; one sister, Norma Jane Davis; and one great-grandchild, Bentley Carlin. She worked for many years in the DeSoto area as a hair stylist.
