Tom was a couple of years older but He, his brother John and I had a lot of fun on calico creek and helping his older brother Bill put up hay when Bill managed the Thompson farm. One time Tom and Tweet Nickelson decided to see how fast they could go on their bikes from the top of Flether hill at the bottom Tom lost control and skidded on his hands,arms and chest for about 30 feet. He had no shirt on and when he came pushing his bike up to my grandfather's store he was covered in blood but had a big smile on his face because he had beat Tweet in the race. Tom was like my second dad ,Belinda and i Have been best friends ever since 6th grade and I was at there house a lot. He would laugh at some of the crazy stuff we did as kids but he would also scold us when it was needed.The Amsden house was my home away from home.Tom and Genette always made me feel like part of the family. Great memory's with The family.............Hugs and prayers going to the family...............

Tom ran around with my brothers Loyd an Tweet Nickelson they were always having fun along the calico creek where we all lived Loyd has long passed away an Tweet is in arizona but I know he would want the family to know he has so so many good and wonderful memories of the good old days in Fletcher with his good friend Tom.
