As you all know Aunt Thelma was loved very very much by us all. We were lucky to have her as long as we did. I know she is in heaven hugging dad and Linda and the kids right now. The memories from long ago, at Sunnen Lake, Mineral Fork, Joe & Janets, Norman & Linda's etc. are forever etched in my mind. We will miss her greatly and I want all of you to know you are in our thoughts and prayers and if you need anything, you know all you have to do is call. Love you all and will see you on Friday. Pam

My dear Aunt Thelma. I will miss you so. I didn't get to visit you very much, but I knew you were always there. I remember at Aunt Jenny's wedding I got to hug you and we held hands while in line. I know that you cared about my brother, sister and me. You would always at least once a year come by and check on us when we were little. And a few times after we got big. I will love you and keep you in my heart for as long as I live. I will miss you greatly. To the kids: My thoughts and prayers are with you all at your time of sorrow. Your loving neice, Carolyn Jane (Patterson) Rector

Aunt Thelma I know that you are in heaven with dad, i bet he is so glad to see you he's probably got the best fishing hole picked out to go fishing in. I always picture him and linda and the kids all together at the river bank just waiting for us all to join him, now your there with them to. I'll always remember coming to your house playing in the old cars in your field pretending we could drive, and having bannana pudding after dinner, going to mineral fork,I cherish all those memories. After dad died I loved to listen to you talk because I could close my eyes and hear dads voice, the way you laughed and talked was so much like his,We loved you so much and we will always miss you. To all my cousins, our prayers are with you. what a wonderful mother,grandmother,great-grandmother,and aunt she was to all of us.

Linda & Norman and Janet & Joe: Your Mom was so special to me. There was never a time that she didn't greet me with open arms, no matter where we happened to meet. I know she is with God now because she surely was a blessing to a lot of people. We are so sorry for your loss but rejoice for her gain. God Bless you all. Love, Marg & Pat Jackson

I Remember what my sister Carolyn Rector said about aunt Thelma comming to see My brother and sister and me. When we were little, and living with our grandparents in Van Buren. I don't remember alot of details. Just that she would come to see us. And in the past several years i did take my daughters and visit Aunt Thelma at the apartment where she lived. One of my greatest regrets is that it couldn't have been more. I also remember the same thing that Pam or one of Uncle Tip's daughters said about closing her Eye's and hearing their father's voice. And i can actually do the same. With my daddy (Joe) Roscoe. And after we lost daddy I did love to hear Aunt Thelma talk. I want all of the family to know that my thought's are with you now. We Possibly will get to be there Friday evening around 4 or 5. So i hope we get to see you all. I would love to hear from any of you. Please fill free to call or email me. I Love you all even if we have not spent any real time together. Rita (Patterson) Sartin and family

To the family of Thelma Voyles Voisey: Wish we can be there, we are sadden by Aunt Thelma's passing. My Father, Joe Patterson, spoke of her often. I didn't get to know her like I would have liked, but I felt like I knew her. I met her a few times and talked to her and she seemed to be a fun loving, bubbly, person. I know that she will be missed by many who loved her. Bless the family and may God give you strength in your time of loss. Sincerely, Marshall, Gerri, and Randi Patterson

I will always remember the wonderful times we had as kids growing up visiting at Aunt Thelma and Uncle Bob's in Fletcher. We would usually go on Sunday's and have dinner - She would make the most wonderful cornbread. We would play in the creek and p/u crawdads and play in the old cars. The fun we had at Mineral Fork watching Dad gig and telling the boys what to do - running the fish back up stream to the boat. One time Joe and Dad had Norman in the boat and they were gigging away telling Norman where to put the boat and they dumped him in the River!! I will always remember the love she had for all us kids - we loved her so much and she always told us to get over here and give her a hug. I also remember her chewing gum too. I know that she is in heaven with dad, and telling him Linda to get over here and give her a hug. I loved her so much and love all of you too. God Bless, Kathy

Thelma was a sweetheart of a lady. Always had a smile for me. I worked with her at the Desoto Shoe factory for 9 years.
