Talmadge “Ted” L. Sebastian was born in Parma, MO on March 27, 1929 a son to Kewen and Irene (nee Cunningham) Sebastian. He died at his Hillsboro home on March 18, 2013 at the age of 83. He is survived by his children: Doris (Russell) Grobe, Hillsboro, Paul Sebastian, Hillsboro, Ed Sebastian, Festus, Tom Sebastian, Hillsboro, and Dale Sebastian, Ft. Madison, Iowa; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters: Elizabeth “Liz” Beckman, De Soto, Claradean Boyer, De Soto, and Laura Rhodes, De Soto; two sisters-in-law: Hilda Sebastian, De Soto and Opal (Morris) Long, Potosi; two brothers-in-law: Delbert “John” Wideman, Hillsboro and Frank Wideman, Hillsboro. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Norma (nee Wideman) Sebastian; one sister: Catherine Tidwell; two brothers:Wendell Sebastian and the Rev. Joel Sebastian; brothers-in-law Verne Beckman, Evert Boyer, Mitchell Rhodes, and Red Tidwell. He served his country in the United States Air Force following World War II, was a mechanic/welder for Bi-State Transit, a member of Amalgamated Transit Union Local 788, and the First Assembly of God Church-De Soto. He enjoyed music and performed in many local Bluegrass and Gospel groups, he also enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, and cutting firewood. Rev. Derek Jones, Pastor of the First Assembly of God Church will officiate all services.
