Robert Gene “Bob” Agers was born on July 16, 1942 in Springfield, IL, a son to Lilliam Marie (nee Secrets) and Albert Ellis Agers, Jr.  He died at Mercy Hospital Jefferson on December 10, 2022 at the age of 80.  He is survived by his children: Chris (Kristina) Agers, St. Clair, Cheri (John Hardin) Agers, De Soto, Cassie (Mike Merseal) Pruneau, De Soto and Cindy Chappell, De Soto; his grandchildren: Robert W. Agers, Gina Womack, Holly Womack, Emily Fitzsimmons, Jacob (Sam Myers) Pruneau and Callista (Dan Strauser) Chappell; great grandchildren: Dillon, Mason, Jaydin and Evelyn, one brother Edward (Darlene) Agers, Festus, his former wife Bev Agers, De Soto and his constant companion his dog Blue.  He is preceded in death by his parents, a grandson Timothy Agers, and a brother Marshall (Sherry survives) Agers.  Bob had retired as an equipment operator for Fred Weber, Inc. He was a member of Operating Engineers Local #513.  He also belonged to AmVets Post #48, V.F.W. Post #1831 and B.P.O.E #689.   He enjoyed playing golf and farming. Bob also maintained and supervised the activities at Agers Park.
