Raymond J. Patton “Banjo”, 83, of Blackwell, formerly of St. Louis, died on Jan. 25, 2010 at his home in Blackwell, MO.  Born on April 15, 1926 in St. Louis, he was the son of the late William and Tillie (Zartz) Patton.  Mr. Patton was a retired mechanic for Bommarito Oldsmobile and a charter member of the Knights of Columbus Council 5936 of Old Mines, and a 4th degree member of the Cardinal Glennon Assembly.  He participated in the U.S. Merchant Marinesduring WWII adn served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.  
He is survived by his wife, Patricia (nee Corey) Patton of Blackwell; 6 Children, Cynthia (Paul) Thebeau of Old Mines, Steven (Judy) Patton of Bland, Tim (Paula) Patton of Overland, Daniel (Amy) Patton of De Soto, Susan (Austin) Harrison of Sturgeon, and Lisa (David) Leas of De Soto; and one daughter-in-heart, Sondra Patton; fourteen grandchildren, and twenty-two great-grandchildren; siblings, Thomas, Michael and Eugene Patton, and Patsy Redmond.
He was preceded in death by one infant son, Robert J. Patton; four siblings, Isabell Costly, James Patton, Mary Ruth Chaffin, and William Patton Jr., and three grandchildren, infant Sarah Robart, Brian Bradbury, and Steven Patton Jr.
