Raymond Arthur Mummert was born on June 8, 1923 in Hanover, PA. He was the son of Rolandus & Edna (nee Lippy) Mummert. He died on March 26, 2015 in De Soto, MO at the age of 91.
He is survived by his wife Joann (nee House) Mummert of Leadwood; daughters, Mary (Richard) Gans of Festus, MO and Sherill Compton of De Soto, MO; step-sons, Johnny (Roxann) Simily; Danny (Barb) Simily; and Fred (Carolyn) Simily; siblings, Dale (Vicky) Mummert of Hanover, PA; Harold Mummert of Hanover, PA; Merl (Rita) Mummert of Smithfield, PA; June Messinger of Hanover, PA; and Shirley (Harold) Luckenbaugh of Hanover, PA; grandchildren, Steve (Amy) Gans, Jill (Mike) Pins, Ryan (Charmin) Gans, Pamela Elliot, Doug (Leslie) Leftridge; James (Reneé) Compton, Charity (Tim) Edgars & Mandy Fox; 25 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; 8 step-grandchildren, 16 step great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, June Mummert; daughter, Doretha “Dotty” Jess; brother, Melvin Mummert; and sister, Nadine Scott.
Mr. Mummert was a WWII Veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps and a punch press operator at Carter Carburetor. Rev. Dwain Hanson will officiate the services.
