Raymond George Scherrer was born in St. Louis on June 6, 1940 a son to Raymond and Viola (nee Fischer) Scherrer. He died at his De Soto home on December 15, 2018 at the age of 78. He is survived by his wife: Kathleen Scherrer, De Soto; three children: Kristina Rose Scherrer, Bellevue, Kim (Tim) Jinkerson, Ellsinore, and Raymond W. (Suzanne) Scherrer, De Soto; two grandchildren: Megan (Christopher) McKinney and Raymond G. Scherrer; and one great grandchild: Boe McKinney. He is preceded in death by his parents. Raymond raised and trained horses and mules and was also a farrier. He enjoyed the outdoors and especially hunting.
