Ralph L. Hamel was born December 26, 1927 in De Soto, MO. He was the son of Clarence and Anna P. (nee Kopp) Hamel. He died at his residence in De Soto, MO at the age of 87 years. He is survived by his daughter, Sandra (Scott) McBride, Festus, MO. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Doris Jean (nee Butler) Hamel; one son, Lee “Pete” Hamel; and one brother, Harold Hamel. Ralph served in the U.S. Navy; life member of the Amvets Post #48; and he retired from Chrysler. As an expression of sympathy memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
