Paul William “Boots” Benton was born December 10, 1942 in St. Louis, MO. He was the son of the late William Benton and Mary (Courtaway) Collins. He died on January 24, 2012 at his residence in De Soto, MO at the age of 69 years 1 month and 14 days. He is survived by his son, Kevin (Denise Phelps) Benton, De Soto, MO; siblings, Carol (Denny) Andrasko, Festus, MO, Thomas (Annette) Collins, Enid, OK, Charles Collins, Festus, MO, Gerald (Roberta) Collins, Norman, OK, and Debra (Paul) Boren, De Soto, MO; one grandson, Tanner Benton. He is preceded in death by his parents; his granny, Hattie Courtaway; brothers, William Benton and Ronald Steven Collins, Sr.  Boots was a member of the United Auto Workers and AmVets Post #48. As an expression of sympathy memorials to the Kidney Foundation or St. Judes Childrens Research.
