Denise Dill (White) I have fond memories of Norvel and Dora Baynes and their family. Wait a minute ladies I thought I was his only girlfriend. Our families were great friends with them and I remember going to their house after we would all went to church. I sat many Sundays with them in church. He went to many of my sporting events and we also went to Jefferson College to see many games there. Growing up I remember the Baynes family and smile with memories of our times together. It was truly a sad day when I learned of losing a loved one as he was to me. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Amy, He found out I sing with a band and he said next time I sang he wanted to know so he could go hear me. I guess now he can hear me from Heaven.

I have a lot of great memories growing up next door to the Baynes. Norvel and Dora were always so sweet and Norvel was so funny. He would always tease me and my sister about doing cartwheels in the yard. I think he thought we lived on our heads half the time. He also called us his girlfriends. Such a sweet and loving man. He will be greatly missed as Dora is. He's now at home with her and all is well. My heart is with you all. You are all my family and I love you very much. My prayers are with you.

Rabbit use to come into my work and tell me he was going to take me on a date to eat cat fish. He is such a sweet man and my prayers are with his family. He would talk about his wife, kids and grandchildren. He will be missed by so many.

Rabbit used to come into the office where I worked. He was always so sweet! He would ask if we could be his girls (with a wink and a twinkle in his eye), and if we wanted to go for ice cream or dancing. When I first met him, he was taking care of his sweet Dora. And later, he would talk about how much he missed her when she passed. He told funny stories of his racing days at the dirt track. He was a very sweet man and he will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

As a former sister in law I always had so much fun when visiting Dora and Norvel. Even though I did not see them much in the last several years they and the 'kids' we're always on my mind and in my heart. Norvel was one of a kind. He always had a smile and something witty to say. I look forward to heaven now that he is there.

I have so many precious memories of this wonderful man. He had hundreds of "girlfriends" but only one true love, Miss Dora. Your sweet family is in my thoughts and prayers.

I met this wonderful man when I was very ill in a hospital and he made sure to smile an wave everyday as he passed by the room. One day he stopped in to say hello and that was a lesson to me that no matter what comes your way there is sunshine. His son was ill in the next room, but he was still spreading sunshine along the way. He and his loving wife raised their children to be the same way. This is the only memory I can share but it is a beautiful memory.
