Norvel Kenneth “Rabbit” Baynes was born in Portageville, MO on April 3, 1935 a son to Henry Harrison and Cletis (nee Savage) Baynes. He died on February 24, 2016 at Des Peres Hospital, St. Louis at the age of 80. He is survived by his children: Becky (Larry) Voyles, De Soto, Janet (Gary) Torrence, De Soto, and Butch (Karen Hirth) Baynes, Hillsboro; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and one brother: Leslie Eugene Baynes, Hillsboro. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife Dora (nee Cohoon) Baynes; and a sister-in-law Geraldine Baynes. He retired as a “batch man” for Jefferson County Redi-Mix,was a member of Teamsters Local #682, and had served in the United State Army and the Missouri National Guard. He was also a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church, De Soto. Bro. Bob Thebeau will officiate the funeral service.
