I am at a loss for words. I am still in shock from receiving the phone call. Mike was much more than an acquaintance, he was one of my very best friends. He was one of the few friends who still called me Danny. Plus, I have known Faith from high school and our 'carpooling' days to Jefferson College. And to their beautiful and wonderful children Keith, Julie and Megan - please know that family and friends are here to support and love you through these difficult times. Faith - if there is anything you need, someone to talk to, a shoulder to cry on, please do not hesitate to call. My thoughts and prayers and tears are with you all today, tomorrow and forever.

To Faith and the kids, Dave and I want to express our deepest sympathy to all of you. Mike was a wonderful friend to both of us and he will be gratefully missed. Dave will always have a special place in his heart for his "lefty" first baseman. Friendships last forever, so if any of you need anything, please don't hesitate to call us.... Love, Dave and Kelli Hensley

Dear Family and Freinds of Mike, My deepest sympathies for your and all of our loss. I went numb when Mark told me the tragic news. I had worked with Mike many years ago at Volkswagen Mid-America where we shared many laughs and many good times. We used to car pool togeher along with Chuck, Mike H., Jeff and my wife. If I'm not mistaken that's where he got the nickname "Pinky" when he got a pink Izod shirt for one of his company Christmas gifts. He was always a energetic, upbeat, cheerful and hardworking person. I remember the times we would turn on the warp speed to get all the UPS packages out at the end of the day. I would sometimes call him Mickey Townsend after the racing legend Mickey Thompson. Pinky was just a genuinely good guy and I am very proud to have known him and beleive my life is truly better for it. I hope that we can all find the strength to celebrate Mike's life and how he has touched so many of ours thru this sorrowful time. I wish I could have spent more time with him but he will live forever in my mind and heart.I hope to catch up with you someday Mike! I'll miss you buddy! God Bless!

MIKEY, YOU WERE THE BEST, YOU KEPT ME SMILING AND UPBEAT THROUGH MY CAREER AT THE ZOO. THE MOST IMPORTANT IMPACT ON MY LIFE WAS YOU AND THE TRUE FRIENDSHIP THAT YOU BESTOWED ON MY 2 NEPHEWS THAT MET YOU AT ST. JOE. CALEB WILL NEVER FORGET THE TIME THAT YOU SPENT WITH HIM AS A YOUNGSTER, TEACHING HIM TO RIDE THE TRAILS. THE IMPACT THAT YOU HAD WAS CONTAGEOUS. CALEB AND CODY AS WELL AS MY MYSELF WERE IN TEARS WHEN I TOLD THEM ABOUT YOU. YOU WERE THE BEST FRIEND ANYONE COULD HAVE. I WOULD LIKE TO KICK YOUR ASS FOR CHEATING ME OF MORE TIME SPENT WITH YOU. YOUR WIFE AND KIDS ARE AWESOME, GOD BLESS

Faith: I was so sorry that I wasn't able to make it to the service today. I wanted you to know how much you and the kids have been on my mind today. You and Mike will always hold a special place in my heart. I can't remember high school without thinking of Mike. May God's grace, peace, and love comfort you in the days and weeks ahead. May you know how much you are loved and that you have so many family and friends that are here if you need us. Rob
