Mathue L. Miller was born on January 28, 1927 in Wortham, MO. He was the son of William F. and Dora (Robare) Miller. He died on January 23, 2011 at St. John’s Medical Center in St. Louis, MO.
Mathue is survived by his children, Dennis (Paula) Miller of De Soto; Kevin (Melinda) Miller of Charleston, MO; Cindy Miller of De Soto, MO; and Beth (Barry) Yancey of De Soto, MO; 6 grandchildren, Annie (Patrick) McManus, Jessie (Kerri) Miller, Jennifer (Daniel Barnes) Miller, Tiffany Johner, Kyle Yancey and Alyssa Yancey; 3 great grandchildren, Brendan, Samuel & Jackson.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Louise (Gillam) Miller, 5 sisters, Louise Denton, Ruby Choate, Birdie Brazzel, Inez Rhodes, & Genevieve Rickard and 1 brother Marion “Bud” Miller.
He was a member of Dillon Chapter OES, Scottish Rite Bodies, South County Shriner’s Club, and Irondale Lodge #143 AF & AM. He was a retired salesman for Finnical Tire and also owned a real estate sign rental company. Mr. Miller was an Army Veteran of World War II. Rick White will officiate the funeral service. Entombment with military honors will be at the Four Seasons Mausoleum at Woodlawn Cemetery. There will be a masonic service Thursday at 6:00pm.
