Mary Lou Padberg Creech was born on October 8, 1928 in Summersville, MO. She was the daughter of Christopher Edward & Ruth Dessie (Badgley) Padberg. She died on December 6, 2019 at de Greef Hospice House in St. Louis County at the age of 91.
She is survived by her son, David (Dana Miller) Creech of Oakland, CA and daughter, Karen (Don) Huskey of Hillsboro, MO; grandchildren, Jarrod Clayton Huskey, Woodrow William Creech, and Grace Elisabeth Creech.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William S. Creech; four brothers, Philip, Theodore, Walter, and Daniel Padberg, sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
Mary Lou was a home economist. She was an extension agent who worked for both the University of Missouri and University of Arizona. She taught home economics at Windsor and Hillsboro High School for 17 years, retiring in 1983. Mary Lou was a member of the Hillsboro United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing bridge, reading, traveling, sewing, and knitting.
A memorial service will be held at the Hillsboro United Methodist Church on January 11, 2020. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Hillsboro Public Schools Foundation, 20 Hawk Drive, Hillsboro, MO 63050.
