Please accept my deepest sympathies. Even though our older loved ones live a long life we still hate to say good bye. That's because it is not what God really intended...he calls death our enemy. But He lovingly has promised a resurrection for those who fall asleep in death. Think about that term Jesus used..falling asleep...we awaken from sleep and that is what Jesus wants us to remember. Mary will awaken when Jesus calls those from the memorial tombs (John 5:28). And they will come back to be reunited with family...we know that because that's the lesson Jesus wanted us to learn from the account at John 11:11-44 where he resurrected his dear friend Lazarus. Take a moment in quiet time to reflect on that account. It is so faith strengthening at a time when you are feeling so helpless and sad. Jesus knows your tears...he cried when he found out Lazarus died. Until that time, while we patiently wait on God Jehovah, may His peace soothe your sad hearts and help you to hang onto the most wonderful Bible promise we have, that of seeing our loved ones again, and when as Isaiah says at 33: 24 no resident will say "I am sick".
