Mary Duffner

Mary Frances Duffner was born December 30, 1921, in De Soto, MO, a daughter to the late Ernest Gerald Coxwell, Sr., and Mary Emily (nee Hamilton) Coxwell. She passed away September 25, 2009, in Crystal City, MO at the age of 87 years.
She was united in marriage to George Edwin Duffner on January 20, 1943, and to this union two daughters were born. Mary Frances and George shared over 55 years of marriage with George passing away in 1998.
She is survived by her daughters: Melissa (John) Haggstrom of of Florham Park, NJ; and Katherine Scharnhorst of Robertsville, MO; a grandson, Eric Haggstrom of Florham Park, NJ; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Coxwell and Bonnie Duffner both of De Soto, and Mary Elizabeth Norris of Louisville, KY; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by three brothers; Charles S. (the late Pat) Coxwell; E. G. “Jerry” Jr. (the late Leona) Coxwell and W. G. “Bill” Coxwell; three brothers-in-law Bernard, Elmer (the late Aleen) and Lucas Duffner, and James Norris and a son-in-law, Michael Scharnhorst.
She was a member of PEO Chapter FG and Hope United Church of Christ . Mary Frances was also a avid bridge player.
