Mary Ann Hoelzel Courtois was born in Bonne Terre on September 3, 1949 a daughter to Carl and Bernice (nee Evans) Hoelzel. She died on August 8, 2022 at St. Joe Manor in Bonne Terre at the age of 72. She is survived by her daughter Danielle Moskop and her husband Robert Moskop of De Soto; her son Seth Courtois, of De Soto and his children Lilliane Diane and Carlton Allen and Seth’s longtime companion Tara Thebeau and her children Landon and Ivie; one sister Barbara Hoezel of De Soto; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: August “Gus” Winckel and his wife Teresa Winckel  and Robert “Bob” Winckel and his wife Edith Winckel. Mary Ann was a member of St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church and Dillon Chapter #16, O.E.S. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the St. Andrew’s United Methodist Church, 1004 Rock Road, De Soto, MO 63020.
