Marjorie Gail “Giggles” Porter was born January 15, 1963 in Munich Germany to Wanda and Eldon Smith. Gail attended De Soto High School, Mineral Area College where she received her Associates Degree in Nursing and attended Missouri Baptist For her Bachelors Degree in Nursing. Gail worked many years as an RN at Barnes Jewish Hospital and many nursing homes. Gail was married to Robert Porter in November of 1980, opening day of deer season as her dad reminded her of each year. Gail was the loving mother to Andrew Porter and Ashley Porter.

Gail was a loving, caring woman who loved to talk to just about anyone. She was so proud that she was born in Germany and wanted to go back but not fly. Gail’s nickname was Giggles because growing up she giggled all the time. She loved and was so proud of her family.

Gail is preceded in death by her parents, one son, Robert Andrew Porter in 2004 due to a car accident, loving husband, Robert Porter in 2014 at home, grandparents; Frieda Willett Wilson, Stanley Wyman Haverstick, Virginia Haverstick, Rose Sansoucie Smith; great-grandparents Maude and Ray Willett and Lawrence Sansoucie; a brother-in-law, Charlie Beers, Jr.

Gail is survived by her daughter, Ashley Nicole Porter, St. Louis, MO; four beautiful grandchildren, Hailey, Ally, Avery, and Hunter; stepdaughter, Kathy Porter of Kansas City, MO; sisters, Tammy (Mike) Biggers, Bonne Terre, MO; Lori Smith, De Soto, MO; and Lisa (Jim) Drew, Barnhart, MO; Heather Porter, De Soto, MO; and nieces and nephews, Mathhew (Cathy) Smith, Farmington, MO; Kyla (Aaron) Morales, Farmington, MO; Megan Smith, De Soto, MO; Landon Porter and Griffin Porter of De Soto, Emma and Carter Drew, Barnhart, MO; many loving cousins, Uncle and Aunt John and Karen Smith, Cordova, TN; and a very special neighbor and friend Tammy Pona, De Soto, MO.
