Lindell E. Williams was born October 10, 1936 in De Soto a son to Elmer and Marie (nee Huskey) Williams. He died at his De Soto home on December 22, 2012 at the age of 76. He is survived by his wife Betty (nee Cheatum) Williams of De Soto; his son Marvin (Karen) Williams and their daughter Samantha “Sam” Williams, all of De Soto; and his daughter Patricia “Trish” Williams of Mapaville. Also surviving are his brothers: Leonard Williams, St. Louis; and James (Mary Lynn) Williams, De Soto; as well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters: Dolores Maness and Marjorie Bouska. Lindell began working for his uncle Stanley Williams at his Texaco Gas Station in De Soto and later became the stations proprietor with his wife Betty. Upon closing the gas station Lindell went on to have a 15 year career with the Jefferson County Highway Department, retiring as a supervisor. Rev. Dr.Jeremy Muniz, pastor First Baptist Church – De Soto, will officiate the service with burial to follow at the Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery.
