Lester Maxwell Fielder was born in Portageville on January 10, 1934 a son to John A. and Jennie E. (nee Hawkins) Fielder.  He died at his Lake Summerset home on April 1, 2019 at the age of 85.  He is survived by his wife Hazel (nee Oquin) Fielder. Les and Hazel were married on May 23, 1953 in Piggott, AR.  Also surviving is one daughter: Rhonda (Joe) Manno, De Soto; four sons: Hal “Bud” (Beth) Fielder, Hillsboro, Mark Fielder, Windsor, Kelly Fielder, Festus, and Steve Fielder, De Soto; fourteen grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and a son-in-law Michael Frazier, Arnold.  He is preceded in death by his parents; one daughter: Sandra Frazier; and ten brothers and sisters: Kathleen Corgan, Burl Fielder, Virgie White, Olive Wells, Harold Fielder, Magdalen White, James Fielder, Joey Fielder, Coley Fielder, and Carl Fielder. Les had retired from the General Motors Assembly Plant in Wentzville where he served as a relief man an also shop steward.  He was a member of De Soto Lodge #119 AF & AM and UAW Local #25.
