Leo Fay Young of rural De Soto was born Feb. 4, 1928 in Mill Creek, MO a son to Winford and Elsie (nee Francis) Young.  He died Nov. 27, 2010 at the Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Crystal City, MO  at the age of 82.  He is survived by his wife Geraldine “Jeri” (nee Baker) McGuire Young; two daughters Ruth (the late William “Bill”) Renick, Festus and Jeannie (Wayne) Province, Park Hills; siblings Cleo Ray (Jean) Young, Bonne Terre, Joanne (the late Alfred) Nash, Bonne Terre, and Jessie (Everett) Stucker, Salem; step children Nancy (Tom) Hale Fredericktown, Sue (George) Frazer, Bonne Terre, Margaret (the late Mike) Goff, De Soto, Carrie (Art “Sonny”) Bourbon, De Soto, Glenda Pratte, De Soto, Mary (Steve) Snyder, De Soto, Tom McGuire, Imperial, Jim McGuire, St. George, Utah, and Becky (Robert) Cowee, Auburn, Washington; 5 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, 19 step granchildren, and several step great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his step father Joseph Boyer, siblings Billy Young, Ruth Helen Young, Dorothy Stegall, and Goldie Burcham, and three step grandchildren Lori Huskey, Randy Bourbon, and Scott King.  Mr. Young served in the United States Navy and later worked as a welder for Hussman Refrigeration as well as St. Joe Lead, and Contico, and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Pevely, MO. Rev. Dr. Mart Thompson will officiate the service.
