Linda, Kathy and Cary, please accept my sincere condolences regarding the passing of your husband and father. I have always remembered him, as a pre-teen and teenager and now as an adult, to be a quiet, but always friendly and kind man. We as kids, were always welcome in his home, one block over from our home, smiling at our teenage giggles, laughter and grins. I can relate to your pangs of grief, but never at such a deep level. I know that you are suffering with this great loss, but I pray that you may find peace in God's loving arms and know that His peace passeth all understanding.
In His love,
Denise "Dee-Dee" Greenlee Kirkpatrick

I will always remember walking into an English class some sixty years ago and there he
sat. He was a good person to know and to have in class, but more than that, he was
a good, kind, gentle soul , almost always with a smile on his face and always having
time to talk. He and Linda brought much happiness into my life, as did their two
children--Kathy and Cary. Today he is resting in the arms of a loving God who
gathered him in and welcomed him home. Much love--Mary Alice

Though I left DeSoto many years ago, some people you just never forget, and Nathan Dennis was one of them. As we get older and look back, for me at least, certain people just define parts of your life. To me "Nate" personified DHS and the good things I remember about going to school there. ... I recently reconnected with another "Class of 57" alumni, Charlotte Sullivan, and we talked about going down to DeSoto to see who we could find. ... I said to her: "We ought to call Nate Dennis and see how many of our class is still in Desoto. Nate will know. He knows everybody." ... I so wish we had had the chance to do that. ... Hugs to you Linda. I remember you and Nate as High School Sweethearts. I'm glad you got to have your Sweetheart for so many years.

Kathy, It shocked me to see your dad's name on the board. What a kind and gentleman. May the peace of God which passes all understanding flood your heart at this difficult time. Sincerely, Christine L. Brewer
