Lawrence G. Hansen was born September 4, 1921 in Omaha, Nebraska. He was the son of Lars G. and Mary Jane (nee Plummer) Hansen. He died on November 29, 2011 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Crystal City, MO at the age of 90 years 2 months 25 days. He is survived by his wife, Helen (nee Johnson) Hansen, De Soto, MO; one daughter, Sandra (Charles Arnett) Viggers, Haines City, FL; three grandchildren, Wendie (Bill) Marshall, Dawn (Cory) Penneau, and Eric Mahn; five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Bertha Boyer. Lawrence was in the U.S. Navy during WWII; he was also a member of the Amvets Post #48.
