Junior Rowe Hastings was born September 20, 1934 in Harviell, MO. He was the son of the late Adkins Rowe and Hattie Lee (nee Stacy) Hastings. He died on June 26, 2022 at Mercy Hospital South, St. Louis, MO at the age of 87 years. He is survived by his children, Brian (Lisa) Hastings, De Soto, MO; Sherri (Larry) Sacker, Ft. Wayne, IN; and Rhonda (Jack) Morris, De Soto, MO; grandchildren, Wesley (Lauren) Hastings, Spencer (Anna) Hastings, and Amanda (Joel) Washko; great-grandchildren, Rosalie Washko, Bennett Hastings, and Wake Washko. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Darlene (nee Murray) Hastings. Junior and Darlene had been married nearly seventy years when Darlene died on October 2, 2021; siblings, Charles, Jewel, Claude, Welton, and Dowayne Hastings; Agnes Berry and Ora Lee Kirkley. Junior retired as a Quality Control Engineer from the General Motors Auto Assembly Plant in Wentzville, MO and  served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Junior was an avid automobile enthusiast. He loved drag racing, his red corvette, hunting, fishing, but most of all he loved spending time with his family.  As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to: Fisher House Foundation, P.O.
