Susan, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your Mother. I wish I had known sooner so that I could be there. I want you to know I have always held fond memories of your Mom. Driving us rowdy kids to and from school, taking us to the Dairyette for treats, and being there to take care of us when my parents had to leave in the middle of the night for family emergencies. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I remember June well, she was a "second" mother to me. Which meant that I got away with nothing in the neighborhood. Back then as a child you took for granted some of the things people do, but over the years you realize that it was because they did care for you. Such as getting out in all the snow and ice to drive us to school. Not just Susan, but me and my brothers as well. Even though I have left De Soto many years ago I have not forgotten her, nor will I.
