John Ira Jones, Jr. was born August 13, 1946 in East Rainelle, West Virginia. He was the son of the late John Ira Jones, Sr. and Buena Elizabeth (nee Eagle) Jones of Hillsboro, MO. He died on May 28, 2015 at his residence in De Soto, MO. He is survived by his mother; his wife Elizabeth “Carol” (nee Johnson) Jones, De Soto, MO; one daughter, Yvonne Mullaney, De Soto, MO; one son,John Ira (Shelly) Jones, III, Blackwell, MO; two sisters, Elizabeth (Paul) Curtis, Plano, TX and Virginia “Ginny” (Gerry) Claes, Lancaster, PA; twelve grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren. John served in the U.S. Army and owned and operated Jones Wood Products.
