James E. Wallen was born in Bonne Terre on September 6, 1953 a son to Floyd L. and Ruth G. (nee Coffman) Wallen. He died on May 17, 2019 at Mercy Hospital- Jefferson at the age of 65. He was a 1971 graduate of De Soto High School and also a graduate of Jefferson College and Southeast Missouri State with a degree in accounting. He worked as an accountant until his retirement. He was a member of First Baptist Church-De Soto and had served as an assistant Boy Scout Troop leader, He is survived by his mother who lives in De Soto. He is preceded in death by his father and one brother, Steve Wallen.
